Home to the University of Canterbury and Lincoln University just outside of Christchurch, the region provides fantastic education options. The University of Canterbury offers fantastic courses in a large range of fields in bachelor’s degrees (level 7), while Lincoln University offers smaller classes and practical learning specialising in particular fields such as agriculture.

If you want a relaxed lifestyle, Christchurch is the city for you. The city itself has a calming vibe and the lifestyle is peaceful and simple. As there are less people, there’s less chaos and traffic jams. After university or in between classes, take a walk or bike through Hagley Park - a huge beautiful park in the middle of the city centre.

The Canterbury region where Christchurch is located encompasses stunning nature. You can take day trips to lots of beautiful places not too far from Christchurch. Just a 2-hour drive from Christchurch is Arthur’s Pass National Park which offers amazing photo opportunities of the stunning Lake Pearson. Or go whale watching in the town of Kaikoura, where you can also eat delicious seafood and go on hikes with beautiful views.
