Are there any scholarships available?
We have a scholarship available for the University Pathways Programme at UP Education. If you would like to attend university in NZ but do not meet the university entry requirements, we highly recommend for you to do a University Pathways Programme at UP Education where you would be guaranteed university entrance once you complete the programme.
- The main purpose of the 'Star Scholarship' is to support new international students of high calibre to enrol in one of the three university foundation programmes offered by UP Education at either the Auckland campus (for The University of Auckland and AUT University) or the Wellington campus (for Victoria University of Wellington).
- The student must show evidence of community engagement, environmental work and/or leadership qualities, and high academic achievement.
- The scholarship is up to the value of $5000 NZD. Students who receive the scholarship will still need to cover the rest of their tuition fee (tuition fees vary depending on which specific programme is chosen - tuition fees start from $18,000 NZD).

There are no full scholarships for undergraduate study for international students from Indonesia.
For students from Indonesia who would like to undertake postgraduate study in NZ, there is a scholarship available which is awarded by the NZ Government. Please check their website for more information.
Some universities in NZ also offer scholarships through internal means for postgraduate study for international students. Please contact the university directly for more information.
How much does the course cost?
The tuition fee for each course varies. Please contact us if you would like to know the exact costs for the course you are interested in.
For a general idea, here are the costs for English courses and University Pathway Courses.
- English courses: from $80 to $475 NZD per week (courses vary from General English to Intensive Academic English)
- University Pathway Course: starts from $18,000 NZD (courses vary between 6 months to 18 months)
Tuition fees for international students wishing to do undergraduate study in New Zealand depends on which degree at which university you would like to apply for. For a general idea, tuition fees for international students for undergraduate study in NZ is around $30,000 NZD per year (most undergraduate degrees in NZ are three years).
Please note, there are usually also course costs in addition to the tuition fee.
